My paper had three last minute assignments for me.

1. Shoot the Law building for a corresponding article (of course they aren't running this one, but I still like it best).

2. Slow shutter of the lower part of the main info and food court building (called Place Riel). This shot is being run.

3. This last one was off campus, had to shoot a Harley that is the prize for some fundraiser... I haven't even read the article, but was happy since Harleys are very photogenic! (A different shot is being run).

All taken with the 50mm f/1.8 (c. 1987) on the 20D. Exif info is in the images if you're curious. Comments/crits appreciated!

Andrew,

Did they want more of the law building instead of straight on crop?

Like the blurred people with the slow shutter speed. Need to mess with that some more.

Too bad reflections have to get the photogrpahers! :\ Good shot anyway!

They used one of the standard sign/entrance shot of the building. I just liked this one :)

I like all three very much, but especially the second shot. You have just the right amount of motion blur. Unfortunately, the reflections are killing you on the other two.

What's wrong with reflections? :( They are on the subject... so no point in trying to suppress what is seen.
