I have a new Manfrotto Tripod and one of the leg bottom section has somehow got twisted so it will not retract I have unscrewed and loosened it and I can not pull out and put back in proper way as I can with all other legs. Anybody else have this problem? I treat all my gear with kid gloves, or so I thought. I have other gear from Manfrotto and never had any kind of problem so this is confounding to say the least. It is past return to B H Photo and Manfrotto has not responded.

Not sure who you contacted at Manfrotto, but service in the US, in or out of warranty, is handled by a company named Vitec. I'd contact them but make sure you have the full model of the tripod. I believe there have been five BeFree models and I think two different types of leg clamps.

CRIS is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (MST) Monday through Friday. Their address is Manfrotto Service @ C.R.I.S.; 250 North 54th Street, Chandler, AZ 85226. Their phone number is 480.940.1103 and the email is VitecImagingService@criscam.com.

I'd give them a call first.

There is also a company that does out of warranty repairs and has parts if you need them.
