My view is there are at least two 'normal' sized lenses. The 35 and the 24-105.
The 28-70 f2, we have no other lens from any manufacturer to compare to. I believe the size and weight is as to be expected for the zoom range and speed.
The 50 1.2 therefore is the only one of four lenses I'd agree is gargantuan and that means we need a new superlative for the Sigma 105 f1.4. Super gargantuan?

It's early days, 4 lenses. Lightweight 35 and 50 pancakes are on my wish list too and if Canon don't provide I'm sure others will.

when the 105R is announced and in production, there will be a rush to go to these R bodies. The Sigma 105 Art is remarkable. Who would have ever thought that you could get 200F/2.0 performance from a 105mm lens. If it is anywhere near the 50R in terms of sharpness, color and contrast, Not many are going to buy a 200F/2.0. Really no need
The optics on these new R lens are impressive to say the least
