Used the R as a backup body for some action shots. As much I love the EOS R for portraits, it's not quite ready for action. The lag between photos makes it almost impossible to keep up with fast action. However, I was still able to get some good shots. While I would not want to use this as my main body for sports, it does make a great 2nd body. I was able to set this on the floor, and get some great wide angle shots.

A little something different...

Beautifully clear night, noticed Orion overhead as I was unloading some stuff from the car.

Decided to take a quick shot...

I was at my granddaughter's 10th birthday party today, and I managed to get her to step outside and pose for one quick shot.

If Canon is reading, no way in hell I'm going back to shooting/recording to one card! I can't imagine shooting an entire trip to have a single card failure!
Also, I like the GPS feature on the 7DII!

EOS R + EF lenses looks good!!

I'm probably going to have to duck after asking this, but what in the hell is everybody's apparent fascination with birds in flight? I don't get it. At ALL.

Do you prefer squirrels?;-)a

It's a true test of not only the camera AF tracking capability, but also the photographer's ability and reflexes to be able to locate and smoothly track the BIF.

I always wondered what the hell possessed people to spend crazy money on big lenses and fast cameras just to capture bird photos. Like, seriously, what was the big deal? Never understood it until one day some light bulb came on and I was smitten... now it's all that I want to shoot, everything else is boring. Can't explain it, don't want to try :-)

I think an individual who is passionate about RC planes should well understand people not getting what they're into. :p

OK. Fair enough. Not just RC though. Full scale too, but I get your point.
