:-P lmao.. Didn't have time for all that.. Its funny I have the battery grip and the grip it has it's own firmware. Prior to updating it asked me if I wanted to update the camera or the grip. I updated the camera and now its on 1.2.0 and my grip is on 1.0.0. I was using eye detect on Jared Polin's new video and it tracked his eye ok. Im going to try later on with a real person and not my pc screen lol. Oh yeah and to see if everything else works now that I didn't remove anything. But I have done this with all my cameras and never had a issue.. :-|

My firmware was still 1.0.0
Just updated to 1.20.

I went into Menu and selected Silent Shutter - Enable.
I was surprised to get message "Cannot be used with High Speed Shutter or flash Photography". Flash Photography I understand, but High Speed Shutter?

Tried it out, 5 fps silent high speed shooting. (Well I'd call that medium speed but you get the point)
So Menu system does not get updated with Firmware, at least not that part of menu. Or did my Sigma 50 1.4 that was mounted during update get that update?

Hmmm... Not sure. I did try the silent shutter and high speed and was able to get some frames, though I didn't count how many per second, as I had both hands on the camera at the time.

I pointed the R at a stupid I thing with stopwatch running.
Got a free demonstration of rolling shutter with fluoro lights at the same time.

I have the same grip and I saw the same thing. I went on canon site to see if they had any updates for the grip as well.
