The 100-400II is a smasher of a lens... As long as I’m shooting Canon I will own one. Mine is from release of the lens.

Most all these images are 100-400II with the 1.4III extender. All these image are kinda showing you what the R does without my help in Lightroom on the iMac.

One thing keeping me from going a head and snatching one up is the 300mm f/4L is and the 70-200mm f/2.8L is ii and 1.4x tc ii

But the convenience of carrying just a 24-105 f/4L is (first version) and the 100-400 sounds good also.

Also tossing the idea around of some seriously wide aperture glass.

But I've been trying to use what I got. I've been experimenting with film again also.

A lot of people love the 300mm f4. I have only used the 70-300L 4-5.6. I really like it too. The 70-200 with the 1.4III I have never liked for wildlife. IMO the 70-300L out shines.... film for me is a thing of the past.
I do agree about using what you have..

Did some quick shooting this afternoon while wifey was finishing her bike ride. Nothing came out as interesting as I hoped, but I had wanted to try letterboxing and came up with this one. It's at least not bad, I think. Probably means more to me because of having spent a year running track.

More from the "NASA – A Human Adventure" exhibition currently showing Queensland Museum in Brisbane which runs from 15 March to 9 October 2019.

The vehicle is the un-manned Russian Lunokhod, built by the Soviet Union between 1969 and 1977.

Here is a side-by-side comparison between the wireframe Soviet tyre and the mesh USA NASA Lunar Rover tyres.

Very impressed with the RF 35mm F1.8 and low light capabilities of the EOS R in these quite dark settings.

Cheers

Dennis

Maybe a slightly higher angle of view?
Just asking.

I could try that next time I'm out there, thanks! Are you thinking of making the "1" more legible, or to create the impression of standing on the track? Or both?
