Btw...does anyone here use an ef-s 10-18 (stm preferably) or ef-s 10-22 adapted to their R?

I’d like to see some pics, etc, if possible?

I've used the 10-22 but for video only. I'll try to snap a few this weekend and post for you. I think they are limited to 12megs though, due to the fact that the camera crops automatically because of the EF-S lens. Works GREAT for 4k and 1080p video though.

Thanks for those. What are the a x b pixel numbers, for the file, with that lens given u mentioned 12 megs?

The purpose, tbh, was for video as I’d like to challenge myself to shoot some with diff. video settings.

Here ya go. I was guessing at the file size for RAW. This was a JPG. The other one is similar.

In video 1080p with that lens, you can hardly handhold it far enough away to get your feet out of the shot when shooting yourself.

And to think I almost gave that lens away when I bought my R. I only held on to it because I love it for shots around the farm including sunsets and sunrises on the 80D. Little did I know. It doesn't technically have the res of the 80D with it, but it can certainly hold its own and I think the color is even better as are the overall images at reasonable viewing sizes. You can buy these lenses for a song. One of the best kept secrets of the EF-S lineup in my opinion.

The EF 24-105L is my walk around on my R for sure. You won't be disappointed, especially for what you can pick one up for.

I have the RF, but, I’m sure it’s quite the same. The 10-22 should be good for video, for learning, for sure.

Want to buy a or some, ND filters to use with my R.... I do 98% landscapes.... what brand and stops do you guys recommend...

I've been using Breakthrough 6 and 10-stop screw on filters for the last two years and have been happy with them.

I just bought some Lee square filters stuff so I can use ND Grads as well. Time will tell if they will totally replace the Breakthrough's.

Remember this when updating firmware always, take your time and go over everything before updating.

PnP. Yes. Absolutely. And on video that's cropped already, it makes no difference whatsoever (It's not "double-cropped.").
