I need to get rid of my mk2 and mk3 but i am a camera hoarder lmao. I still have my 550d for crying out loud haha.. me too, i cant wait for the firmware and i still believe there will more improvements to come.

Join the 'camera hoarder' club! I often use other cameras as remote cameras so I try to justify it that way. But I still have a 20D and I can't explain why!

Ha ha, I thought it was just me. It's a good thing that my wife doesn't notice that the camera bodies are different.

I don't own any film cameras, all mine are digital and I hate Daylight Saving Time! I have to change clocks on about 20 cameras plus another 6 audio recorders.

Can't wait until they abolish Daylight Saving Time!

With a friend last night, the R and the EF 85mm f1.8 i barely use it and idk why . I used both my Godox AD360II for lighting and i have to do something with the Godox X1T as my EOS R does not like it. They work flawlessly in my MK3 and MK2 heck even on my 550D. It makes no sense as people are not having the issues i am having with in on the R. Still jumps ISO and it miss communicates with the 360s so much that the lights would jump to fullpower once in a while and a lot of misfires. A quick fix was to switch to my Godox V860II and all the symptoms were gone i just don't like the extra bulkyness of the V860II when im doing this type of work. I am wondering if the Godox X2T or the XPro will work just as my V860II.... anyway

Sorry for the grungy overlay, i was trying to get creative in post i guess.. meh

BTW both eye AF and face detect worked so good here it was really dark and the update is not even out yet

All them film cameras, with the exception of one of the Canon AE-1's, were passed down to me by a person who follows my work locally. He asked if was interested, i said how much, he said just make use of them, they are collecting dust in my basement. I have been using them and now that my interest peaked. im buying expired film for almost nothing from people around me. The expensive part is the processing since i do not have space for more stuff in the house. My wife is going to toss me out the window with all this stuff hahaha. It is fun going back to analog once in a while.

Those macro shots are amazing. Well done. I will definitely be getting the next model of this camera in 2020.

I'm glad you made a choice, I know you will make this sucker sing with your beautiful macro shots! Welcome aboard and fantastic shot!

On a side note, does this thing have a learning curve or what. After the 80D It took some getting used to. Plus there is a few more bells and whistles I love on the R.

I agree, definitely a learning curve. Operating the 80D has become very intuitive for me but many things work very differently on the R. Need to get used to that and still need to figure many things out. I've already identified a number of things I absolutely love about this camera. There's also a couple things I don't like too much, but nothing I can't live with.

Please do not post any more of these. Everybody knows you can't use the R for BIF.

Great shot. And if you dont mind, what focusing settings did you use. I have been struggling with the BIFs.
