It’s so soft. You can’t even make out any of the foliage behind the bird... You really lucked out though - the eye is RAZOR sharp.

Anything for a click. YouTube has gotten pretty depressive lately, I switched to x from y for more views!

There are still some good reviewers and channels there but reviewers are more like adverts any more.

Nothing great in the linked video. It was me learning to work with 120 fps and fireworks. It only records in 720p at 120fps, but, I'm sure the picture quality will be nicer with appropriate lighting. I was trying to understand all the components and how they all work together. It was really dark outside so the only real light was from the actual fireworks. I like 'slooooow mooooo' mode...for video. I'm sure there'll be lots of neat things to try down the road. Mind you, I don't have much experience with video so all in due time. :)

Feel free to watch the video (or not). - https://youtu.be/3kbGvJlYcwQ (external link) - :)

I'd like to photograph the cypress swamp areas some year. I've been in the redwoods for years, but find the cypress very lovely from what I've seen in photos, and would probably enjoy autumn best.

At first I thought I landed on a grey market seller or the Refurb page tonight at Canon USA after hitting an ad link. But it looks like the EOS R price has dropped for a certain time. Because the Refurbs last week were $1799 and when I checked that page, those dropped to $1620. And if I'm reading correct, the new EOS R tonight are listed $1799

That's practically grey market prices but Canon USA with paperwork and warranty. B&H Photo supply is also running an ad and price today at $1799 for the new model.

Beautiful photos of Tawny Frogmouths.
I had to research what these birds were as I thought they were owls at first look.

Thank you, they're certainly intriguing birds... and very difficult to find!

Well, I caved. I ordered the grip and another lp-e6n battery (already have an unopened new one) for the R. Hopefully this will give me a bit more stable grip and comfort while using heavier glass.

Expensive hobby... At least I didn't toss in an additional dozen rolls of film and or some RF L glass (yet!)

I've loved Cypress trees since I was a kid. Now I get to play among the Cypress trees as an adult. Does it get any better than that?
