I used to have the ef 50mm 1.2 and I also do love that lens..but this one is crazy sharp even at 1.2! I think the ef version may have more "character" to it? It is a lot softer than this one.

DigitalTuned All these thoughts give me nightmares More info Post edited over 3 years ago by DigitalTuned. | I still shoot with the EF 50mm f1.2 still a great lens but i can not say much about the RF since i don't own one. All i can say is that the quality of the images i iger are way better from the R than compared to my older bodies (mk2 and mk3). Hitting that nail biting focus at f1.2 was a bit tough to when i composed and recomposed as well. The r made this lens a breeze to use wide open. Other than softness it does suffer from some significant CA. Isaac
