Im sure those squirrels love that modern tree you built for them....they will go right up that thing. I used steel wrought iron and they went right up that......darn things cab climb just about anything.... Maybe find a way to electrify it so that if they touch any woking they get zapped....not sure how to help ya....I let my dogs chase them away...they love to chase the Squirrels

Sprinkle cayenne on the bird seed. Birds have no taste buds and are unaffected. But squirrels, being mammals with taste buds, will react to the pepper like humans. It may take a while, and a few dollars worth of pepper, to condition them but eventually they should leave the bird seed alone.

Birds have less, or different taste buds, seeing they have favorite foods and can discern certain flavor variation, but the suggestion is a good idea and probably worth trying out.

Hang Slinkys' around the main shaft of the feeder; doesn't look the coolest, but the squirrels can't climb them.

I don't have a deck, but have a sliding door in place intended to be used to access a future deck. This is on the second floor of my townhouse. There's a spot to mount a feeder on the gate that blocks access (so someone doesn't open the sliding door and walk out into nothing), which I've done the past few winters. No way a squirrel could get up to the second floor with nothing to hold onto...... wrong. The little tree rats climb the bushes that border our home, jump and grab onto the window screens, and then jump from screen to screen until they get close enough to jump onto the feeder. There's tons of holes in the screens from them scaling along the house. Simple solution was to remove the screens, but it still speaks to their annoying ingenuity and persistence.

I rarely shoot in full sun but gave it a shot with long exposure to get the backlit fall colors without blowing the highlights in the water. I really like the minimal result. Used both Big and Little stopper for a 121 second exposure.

Having some trouble with the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary on the R. Works fine without IS on but all shots are blurry with the IS enabled? I just did the latest firmware update for both the R and the Sigma, hopefully it will correct the issue. This one was with IS off. I'm also finding that all my images with any lens seem to have a slight haze to them? Need to play a little more, but really starting to like this camera!

The fly held still long enough :-)
I've done some stacking of insect shots. While most of the times the critter will move before you can take another photo, every once in a while you can find one that will sit still long enough to snap a couple of shots.

We had some very nice weather today for a change so I grabbed the camera and went outside. I even found some bugs which is unusual for this time of the year, so that was a pleasant surprise :-)

Thank you! The MP-E really shines on the R, IMO, as focus peaking makes it a lot easier to use (compared to a DSLR).
