{TIC} You guys have simply got to stop using EF glass on the R. It's simply not good enough for the new technology. Either buy R lenses that cost 3x as much or sell your Rs. That is all.

I just got a Zeiss Jena 180mm2.8 MC Sonnar this week to use with my EOS R. Arrived this afternoon. It's an unused new condition copy from a guy who moved to Utah from Germany. Looking forward to using this one. So far the Leica, Zeiss, Nikon and Canon FD lenses I picked have worked out great.

Very flawed photo, heavily backlit and underexposed by a lot-only had an instant to shoot it or lose it. But with processing this nice bokeh emerged...couldn't see it SOOC!

No FF Sony lenses, hence the reason I never committed to the A7 III. With that sale that's going on now (1999 with the 24-70), I almost pulled the trigger when I bought the a6600. I backed off because I'm not getting rid of the Canon and I'm certainly not going to invest in a whole 'nother set of FF glass on a different eco-system.

you're like the only person I've seen mention the PZ 18-200, really intrigues me as the 24-240 is too large and heavy (and no power zoom), I'm ok with super 35 with that type of video. Do you know if there's an equivalent for canon? I've got the R + RF 24-105 coming, and I think I might be regretting the lens purchase, I'm looking for something video centric.

I have also long considered whether Sony 7iii or Canon R. But when you look closely, many things are better with Canon. Sealed body, better touch display, I don't have to take extra money for the adapter, I can use the batteries of my 5dmk3, the menus are tidier and the ergonomics are better ...and canon colors... ߘ

the body is on sale for 1199 direct from canon right now, and no, not a typo.

Maybe in the states. Still $1800 US in Canada.

You have to call for the loyalty program, and they give you 20% off, all you need is a serial code of an old canon. I grabbed it from my old box, misplaced my M somewhere.

What are you guys using for older manual focus lens adapters?

( particularly FD to RF, but I'd be interested in other suggestions for bargain old manual lenses.)

Fotasy and K&F concept make decent adapter that are inexpensive. Highly suggest you flock the adapters with flocking material from Edmunds optic’s, this will prevent flaring/internal reflections. One roll will last you for all of your potential adapters and then some.

The past weeks and months I bought Leica, Zeiss, Nikon and Helios for extra lenses. I bought mostly Fotodiox and each of the adapters has aligned nicely with nice smooth threads. The ones I got so far seemed accurately machined. This lens arrived yesterday, and the M42 to EF adapter arrived this afternoon. This Zeiss Jena 180mm already came with the Pentacon 6 to M42 original, so I left that on. Laughed at myself, because I was tinkering with light so much to try and take this photo, I forgot to change adjustment on the tilt shift lens.

Found this 180mm on Ebay for $235.00 .. new condition / unused. Came with hood and caps, not shown below.

no, they wont match. You've never heard of the loyalty program? it's been 10% for refurbs for a long time. way in the past, it use to do 20% for refurbs, now they have 20% for new items, which I dont recall them ever doing.
