Crop mode! Which means I can use it with my favorite EFS 18-135mm :)

I had the same thought. I just posted in one of the other sections that I'm going to try my neglected EF-S 17-55 2.8 on it to see if that works for a lightweight walk around lens. Might be good for times when basic snapshots will do.

Just get the 24-105, it’s a great value and probably the same size or smaller, with more range and much sharper. IMO, shooting a full frame camera in crop mode gets boring fast, you can really feel that crop factor. For video, you sorta have to, but that’s another animal.

Hmm... yeah, I have that lens (v1). lol I'm always forgetting that one. They are almost identical in size. Anyway, still might be interesting to play around with the 17-55 on there.

EOS R is a "Lens Horse" :)

My Tamron 35-150mm (this is an FF lens) works great on it too. (was worried about 3rd party adapted to RF)

I can definitely see an RF lens or two at some point in my future, but between all my EF mount lenses (of which I already have too many) EF-S, and the old manual focus lenses I can adapt (really LOVE the 55 f/1.2 FD on this thing) I don't see me needing any RF goodness for some time.

I think the first thing I will get is actually the EF-RF adapter with the control ring.

That control ring is a really nice innovation, I miss it when I have the EF 70-200 on the camera. I only have one RF lens, it's very sharp, if they come out with some lower priced RF lenses, I'll probably add another one or two (16-35 f4 would be great).

Anyone looking for a good deal on the basic EF adapter? I have one I don ‘t need, no box but have the padded case. Some use, but perfect condition - $50 shipped.

I have the Control ring adapter and a CPL adapter so really don’t use the standard ones. Thought I would throw out here before putting an “official” for sale post up

Me too.

not all is lost, I ordered through canon, and they botched my order, lost a few days, they had to redo, and my order wont be here till monday..... have a shoot prior to that. To make it even nicer, I was planning to pair the sigma 135A on the canon, but the adapter is on backorder :-P

not that big of a deal, but wanted to have a 3 camera setup, prime on each cam :p

Exactly ...

When a new camera or lens arrives, I often start with a practice of our little people. This is with the Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 180mm 2.8 I just got this week.
