Add me to the list of those that couldn't pass up the deal in Dec for the EOS R. Have only used a few times but really love what i'm seeing with the shots I've taken so far. Really love the low light performance of my 6D but this one seems like it will be better :-)
Was up at 5am Sunday morning and decided to wander over to the Williamsburg Bridge to view the sunrise over the bridge and Brooklyn.

Ok, but considering the photos weren't of an airport and Tampa is a bit obscure for many of us, I think it wouldn't have taken much to type "am" which would have been clear to everyone

After spending some time with the EOS R I'm really liking it a lot. I tried shooting some indoor basketball and the new Fv mode is really awesome for this, in fact I can see using this mode for most anything. I'm still getting a handle on using the touch focus and my 7D2 does feel much quicker at getting focus but I feel I'm getting better images out of the R.

I feel the size is just right for a camera and the adaptor and my flashes works great so I'm really happy except now I want to switch to more R glass. I think ultimately I'll have the 15-35 and 70-200.

Yes, it didn't immediately click for me either. And I've been to Tampa a couple of times. :-)

Nice Gabe! I've been meaning to bring my R to Tampa but haven't had much time. :(

Funny how all of us with different backgrounds find very different things to be absolutely natural, and other things not so much. Then someone else has the exact opposite recognition. Just the mix of people.

I saw TPA and knew immediately what he was saying. But I've been a pilot since 1976, and have flown into KTPA numerous times. I've seen other things here in the forums which I have puzzled over and had no clue. I asked, and found out. I am wiser now on those subjects. All seems to work out in the end . . .

It’s really popular on Instagram and other hashtag based social media to identify location by airport code.

Without being too cheeky, I’d bet those who didn’t get the reference are Gen Xers or Boomers +

:-D

I'm a Gen X, and I know the codes for several Canadian cities, which is natural, but didn't think of an airport code when I saw "TPA." Are you calling me "old," sonny?

It's been awhile since I've visit this thread and it looks like the EOS R is the official camera for squirrels :P
(inside joke for those who followed at the early stage)

These two images are a winner!

That, is exactly the sort of shot I have trouble with at Karate tournaments - lots of fast subject movement, rubbish lighting, background exposure all over the place!

very well done!
