Was tinkering around with my little tracking mount tonight and on a whim, pointed it towards the big dipper and started taking 30 second exposures. Ended up catching a Galaxy (m108) and a planetary nebula (greenish blotch) M97. Was surprised I managed this. Camera acted a bit goofy though where it just dropped the curtain and went to sleep while I was trying to frame.

I know there is nothing much here to look at, I was just surprised I actually got something in such a short exposure and under pretty bad light pollution.

Fun in the water dish in our back garden, wild Rainbow Lorikeets cooling off.

Hi folks, I have a few minor problems compressing my images. The first picture is a 2048px version, the second a 1200px. The settings are identical to the edge. I use Lightroom Classic. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem?

Sharpening artifacts and noise that are showing more in the larger image? Are you masking the sharpening in the sky?

Hello !

I notice some problem with Control Ring adapter. Functionality of ring can disappeared in time of shooting. Ring just not response and I must turn on/off my camera to make it work again.
Someone knows how to fixing it ?

If you right click the image > make virtual copy, then right click that and go to develop settings, reset, then export them both from that image does the same thing happen? Try opening the image in a different program like photoshop and seeing if the same thing happens with differing sizes.
