Old post I know (always in catchup mode), and don’t comment as often as I should. Just wanted to say I LOVE photo #1 !

Both beautifully captured. I Really like this effect!

A couple of Bristlecone Pine photos. The road is closed because of you know what, made it quite a chore to get up here.

Visited an old abandoned munitions factory in Hammonton, NJ where amatol was produced to do some video with the R on a Zhiyun Crane 3 Lab and the RF 24-105. Leaving it on the gimbal and using the servo motors for zoom with the eye-AF set, we took some photos between getting footage. Always a good time with this model.

Gorgeous shot! Forgive my ignorance, but is done via stacking images? With that kind of metadata, is it an ND filter for the long exposure? I've always wanted to try to capture the sky like this.. thanks!

Does anyone else think the lens introductions for the R are proceeding at a glacial pace? The camera is coming up on its two year anniversary and they've introduced, what? maybe 4 lenses? And really only one lower end affordable (by my standards) lens, the 24-240. I really hope they've queued up a few for release pretty soon.

The RF 35mm f/1.8 IS fits the "affordable" category, IMO. And I count 9 lenses in the lineup so far (10 if you count the RF 85mm f/1.2 DS separately from the normal RF 85mm f1.2). Plus rumors are for 7 new lenses in 2020, along with two teleconvertors (two of the lenses are already confirmed). The pandemic may alter the release schedule of those, though.

Having the EOS R gave me the courage to try the Sigma 50 Art. It really snaps in to focus consistently and accurately on this body - very handy when your subject is getting a bit fidgety because it's time for his evening walk.
