I got an email the other day from Canon indicating that it will ship tomorrow. Time will tell...

I’m too cheap for full-boat retail, got a deal from Gordon. I’ll wait a few weeks to save some coin. Probably won’t be until the third shipment assuming they are equal sizes.

On the day they announced it I got a coupon from Canon for 10% off. I took that as a sign. I ended up at $3700 shipped after MI Sales tax (6%)

Well that’s a good deal! Wouldn’t work for me though with our 9.6% sales tax, still $100 cheaper for me via CPW.

Here are a couple of test shots I took, one with the Mk II (#1) and the other with the Mk III x2.0 Extender (#2).

With good technique and the right subject, I think the performance is excellent. I find that subjects a long way away tend to be softened by the intervening layers of air, thermal haze, etc.

Cheers

Dennis

I'm still shooting with my crappy old EOS R, it's no fun anymore now with the shiny new R5 and R6 are out. :/
