I'm still shooting with my crappy old EOS R, it's no fun anymore now with the shiny new R5 and R6 are out. :/

I find no fault in these. Or my R. That's paid for. And mine.

Thanks!
I had a hunch... (and now recall the mention of it a while back as being in conjunction with Jupiter) :-)

So, whipped out the R and put it on my old school Meade etx90 mak-cass untracked and tried...

Jupiter (had to crop like crazy!) And no stacking or anything. Got a little banding and color to it.

And the nearly full moon 99.8%

Didn't bother running things through the computer. At least I got a few pics :-)

Finally completed my "holy trinity" of lenses to go with my R.

RF 24-105mm F4
EF 16-35mm F4 L IS
EF 70-300mm F4-5.6 L IS

I shoot landscapes exclusively and wanted to get lenses that give me excellent IQ for the price and think I have done that.

Refurb R with RF 24-105 F4: $2100
Used 16-35mm F4 L IS: $650
Used EF 70-300mm F4-5.6 L IS: $650
Viltrox EF-EOS R adapter: $60 (I'm in line for the Control Ring Adapter)

I also have a 50mm f1.8 STM lens laying around if I need it.

Not too bad for about $3500 IMO.

Now I need to get out and enjoy them!

The 70-300L is one of the few lenses I regret selling. I love my 100-400 but the 70-300 is so nice and compact.
