I just can't do it, guys. I knew it was better to post it here with you guys because the "others" will never understand. My R does every single thing I need. Would I love to have the autofocus speed and FPS in the 6 or the 5? Sure. But I'm not willing to give up my resolution for the 6 and I don't see $5k in benefit for me in shucking out the money for the 5.

I’ve just bought an R because I wanted full frame and mirrorless. I have a 7DM2 which will do me for sports on the rare occasion I do sports. I couldn’t justify paying £2500 plus for a 20MP R6 camera. I nearly didn’t buy the R then Canon came up with Black Friday double cash back deal which saved me £440 + an extra £60 which the reseller was offering. How could I resist!

I’m getting used to the drawbacks like slow burst mode in AI Servo and a few other irritating things. I like this camera :)

Been a little bit since I have gone on an actual "photo shoot" it was a bit cold and breezy and I initially went out to get some erm, landscape type images, so I packed a bit short and wide, just the sigma 18-35 and canon 70-200. The bright sun and clouds did not quite play to the way I wanted them too. So, basically did a u-turn to head home and seen a group of Deer next to the road. So shoved the 70-200 on and tried to get a few images.

I did note while trying to use the R, the viewfinder fogged up really quick which kind of made exposure a bit tricky, but I guess it kind of worked.

Nice to see that not everybody is defecting to the R5/R6.
My thoughts are similar. I'd love to have an R5 but that one is way out of my price range. And I'm not excited at all by the 20MP of the R6.
Personally, I'm holding my breath for the rumored APS-C R, which could replace my 80D.

I gotta tell you. I still love my 80D. In lieu of the 90D, I decided to get the M6 Mk II just for fun. I love it too, but it's not my 80D when it comes to comfort and form factor. If they bless an APS-C with a nice 30meg+ sensor and give it the features of the R6, I'm all in. Given the low light capabilities that the Mk II already has, and the likely low light capability that sensor would have, that could be the one that walks me permanently off the FF ledge anyway. I shoot as much or more APS-C between my 80D, the A6600 and the Mk II as I do any of my FF cameras. They suit a need for me and I really like all of them.

I put myself in "whoa" mode for a reason. I truly believe the best and better is yet to come. And this time, I don't think it's that far away. Not far away at all.

My thought exactly. I'm almost always reach limited (or "magnification limited" for macro) so APS-C is "my" format. An APS-C R with focus peaking and all the mirrorless goodies- Yes, Sir!

Let's hope this is true, but it's CR3, so it probably is:

I'm not overly fond of the "My source has confirmed that it will be the smallest EOS R system camera" bit, but let's just wait and see.

C&C always welcome

Has anyone compared image quality when using the crop sensor setting vs. full setting?
I just realized I could do this and took a few handheld shots but I'm wondering if anyone has a done a more controlled approach to test the difference in photo quality?
