I am really behind on processing and posting some of my pics. But then again...looking at these now almost makes me feel a little bit cooler with the hot weather we have been having :p From a trip to AZ back in March. A drive from Page to Monument Valley in a snowstorm but minutes after arriving the skies cleared for some photo ops. Unfortunately, the park and drive were closed. Fortunately, we were staying at The View Hotel and had a nice lookout onto the Mittens/Buttes. The sun dropped below some clouds just in time and just enough to kiss the top of the rocks for us. A couple different looks including sunrise the following morning at 15 degrees....brrrr.

Went out last night to the tip of Cape Canaveral (I work on the cape, so had access). Shot the Milky Way over the ocean, at the end of one of the sand dune "walkovers". The glow in the lower right is Melbourne, Florida. I call it "walkway to the Stars" . . .

Thanks! Appreciate you looking and commenting. Really glad we sprung for a stay here considering we got shut out of the drive on the two days of our visit. Stunning nonetheless.

I just scored the R7 myself that I will use mostly for wildlife. Hoping to give it a good workout over the next month when I head up to Vermont. No intentions of ditching the R. Will be nice to have both bodies that use the same mount system and batteries. Most likely selling my M50 setup though.

I have a M50, along with the EOS R. Even after I eventually add a R7 to my equipment list, I just cannot fathom selling the M50. It's a great kit for when I want to travel really light -- the body, along with EF-M 15-45mm, 18-150mm, 11-22mm and 22mm pancake lenses (and accessories) all fit in a very small camera bag. Here's that bag next to my old Canon 5D3 + EF 24-105L for comparison:

Yeah totally worth it - when I stayed it was around $139 a night, that was in Dec of 2019... I figured it was worth it being that the places in Kayenta were maybe $20 cheaper?! Nothing beats having a hot breakfast watching the sunrise among those monuments!! Only wish I paid up for a photo tour through the park, but I had to get down to Phoenix at the time. Hopefully will go back someday, but every time I look online they want $250 a NIGHT for a room.... there's a KOA up the road a bit, but, it's the new "Trendy" place everyone stays in the area - so good luck getting a spot! Otherwise it's about a 2-3 hour drive from Moab so I may make it down again...

There's a few photo tour guides from the Navajo that might be worth a look - you get 2-4 hours either at sunrise or sunset, and they take you a bit off the beaten path..

Great shot for comparison. The M50 makes for a great travel kit. This is the 2nd one I owned as I regretted selling it the first time! :-) I don't know...on the fence.

Did they allow any "test drives" :-D:-D:-D

This would be a fun place to see sometime! thanks for sharing!

Some of the most genuinely nice/wells spoken people I've met at car related events were PCA members... they all told me: "Yeah...once you go Porsche.. you never go back to anything else"

Actually they do! So with it being their North American HQ's, it's also the Experience Center for test drives and driving simulators. You can rent everything up to a GT3 to drive on the track out back. You have to book it on their website.

The place is literally immaculate and so much to see everywhere. The museum changes vehicles that are on display so you never know what you will see there. Underground parking garage had a signed pace car along with a Michelin man tire air compressor. I stopped up with a friend about 20mins before they closed, we got to hang out for about an hour, staff was very nice. I have a ton of pictures however I don't wanna flood the thread. You might recognize the building if you have seen the later Avengers movies.
