Tenba DNA 15 Messenger Bags are awesome (in my opinion, as a new convert!). I happen to like all of the colors, which is good, because about a week ago two of them went on sale for about $70 off. I ordered the Olive last week (now sold out) but they still have Dark Copper (also very attractive) for about $99.

Yes, the grey is probably my favorite, but the olive is surprisingly neutral (much more neutral than in the photo on the website).
I am going to take it on an upcoming trip as my carry-on "personal item" because it will hold my SL2 & a couple of lenses as well as several other travel items that I need to take. The size is perfect for this, and my little camera & lenses will be well-protected. I am looking forward to using it on a trip to visit family for Thanksgiving (another 11 1/2 hour itinerary through 4 airports, plus a 2-hour drive). I would love to get the DNA 8 for daily use at some point; I just really like the design and construction of these bags.

I chose the Tenba over the ThinkTank CityWalker 30 because of the overhead zip.
but 1 con is that theft is easier when someone can upzip and access your 'jewels'.

Do take note . :p

Actually if you look at that top zipper carefully you can see that it can be locked with a TSA approved luggage lock! That is what I am planning to do on my trip. :-) So ~ no cons at all!
If you aren't sure what I mean I can post a photo. (You would just lock the zipper pull to the D-ring on the side of the bag.)

OK, here is the TSA-approved lock on the top zipper. It is locked to the D-ring on the side of the bag.

You could also lock the two pockets on the front of the bag by connecting them together.

great idea!~

I was thinking getting a pacsafe strap to replace the Tenba strap. kinda cause some discomfort when slinging it for long time. :p

Thanks! I am not familiar with the pacsafe strap. I just got a Peak Design SlideLite for my SL2 and I really like it. I bet it would work with the messenger bag as well. However, I am going to see how well I like the strap that came with it first. :-)

Thanks for the recommendation!~ I was considering the Slide.

if you do not like the strap, do consider this :

I checked out the link and it seems like a very good strap for travel. I think it would be a better choice than the SlideLite for the bag.
