Pearl, as she is affectionately known by locals, lives on a particular stretch of the Adelaide River, south-east of Darwin. She is an extremely rare-in-the-wild white saltwater crocodile--not an albino (her eyes are not red) but a different mutation.

And given that way less than 1% of croc hatchlings survive until maturity, she's also very lucky to have done so without blending in to the darkish water and mud like most crocs do.

It's the second largest lizard next to Komodo dragon (external link).
