Used the olympus 60mm macro..a gem of a lens..tiny and sharp! All are single shots..the additional perceived DoF from the smaller m43 sensor helps to an extent

ISO 400, 1/160, f8-11 (depending on the shot distance from subject), godox TT 350O with DIY diffuser

Another stunning series with beautiful colours. How you even managed to see the pentatomidae is an achievement in itself. What I’ve noticed in the little amount of macro I have done is that lighting is everything, and you’ve got that to perfection.

The Pentatomidae was a lucky find, was casually scanning the tree bark.
Light - absolutely yes, the right amount of diffusion and quantity is absolutely critical
