It is good to see DxO embrace and integrate the U-piont tech. I have been a beta tester for DxO since maybe v8 or so, I cannot remember. Since I switched from Canon to Fujifilm earlier this year, raw conversion in DxO is out for me, which is a bummer because I really liked what they were doing and testing PL v1 was really exciting with the incorporation of the Nik technology.

I might download a trial and see if it is worth processing Fujifilm RGB TIFFs made by a Fuji-compatible raw converter.

I have always upgraded but since I only use DXO for Prime occasionally it really isn't worth it right now. The DCP thingy is appealing but I'll wait. My plan runs out on Nov 29 and Adobe has not ticked me off enough to quit. I'd have trouble giving up the DAM. Like DXO but lacks one critical thing for me. Even a temporary stack to tell me what I've done would be nice. I know you can toggle switches but that is pretty bogus. Even PS has always has a temporary stack since I started to use it in 2005. Don't get me wrong, it is very software. I chose it as my LR backup.

All the established developers are turning into an annual update cycle. C1 has released an annual update to the day since Version 9. The start-ups don't but they will one day.

I have Office 2008 and I went to the site. That is subscription too. What? I barely it or excel. Going to lose that when Mac goes beyond Mojave.

Version 2 of PhotoLab is supposed to have a DAM, but I haven't tried the application out yet since installing the upgrade -- other than to make sure it worked, my previous edits from version 1 were retained, and to see if the Canon M50 was supported. I probably will not have any new photos to process for a few weeks.

Lots of software vendors are moving to the subscription model. I have been a Quicken user for over 25 years, and they moved to this model with the 2018 version. So, after 25 years I need to find a new personal finance management solution. I am still using MS Office 2010, which fortunately still works under Windows 10, but eventually I will need to find a replacement for Word and Excel. I will not go down with subscription path with any software company if I can avoid it.

Prime (that was from DxO Optics Pro 10) didn't impress me at all.
Have you compared it to Imagenomic's Noiseware?

No I haven't. I stopped using 3rd party plugins because they were a pain. I didn't really need them. I followed a thread about Prime and it was pretty impressive. I got it because it was on sale and comes with the entire editing package.

I wouldn't call it a DAM. All it does is rates images so you can find them. It is no where near LR.
