Trying to find out if a 5D3 L bracket is also compatible with a 5D4. Had a quick search on here and only 1 post came up suggesting it may well be.

Anyone swapped one across??

Just bought a 5DSR and 5D4 so one bracket to share between them to get started would be good. Always used Kirk before but considering some of the Sunwayfoto stuff as it looks pretty good and I can't see how a passive piece of kit like this is really worth paying triple the price to get the Kirk name.

Look forward to hearing the usual great, expert advice from you guys

Gareth

If you have a dedicated 5D3 bracket, it may not fit. While the external dimensions are very similar, I notice the 5D4’s tripod mount to be in a different location than the 5D3’s (as I recall, the 5D4’s is closer to the rear and ports sides). So you have better chance of a universal fit with a sliding mount screw.
