FYI, while I was installing the latest firmware for the R5 and R6 today, I happened to check for firmware for the 24-105L. The latest firmware update for this lens was last July. I bought my lens in October, so I was guessing it already had the latest. It did not. It had 2.00, and the upgrade was 2.06.

Thanks for the alert, I'll check into that.

After five long months of waiting i finally got my hands on the only lens which was shipped to Sweden. I should buy a lottery ticket! :)
I only squeezed off two test photos so far and it feels like a great lens.

I like mine. I also have the 24-240 but haven't used it much. I have used the 24-105L much more often, it's a nice lens.

There is not much to dislike about this lens, even the price seems fair compared to other similar RF lenses. I looked at the 24-240 also for a while and it's not a bad piece of glass but decided to go with the 24-105/4 instead because of the constant f/4 aperture throughout the zoom range. It makes life easier when you shoot video. :)

Santa Claus rolled up to a fancy shopping centre in the city today. I grabbed a couple of shots of him meeting kids and their parents. :)

You got lucky!
I got mine in august after waiting 5 months and I got a lemon.
I did return it and to get a new one easier said then done...... waited for 2 month and still no lens so I gave up and asked for money back.
Here is a 2000 pixels sample from the left side of an image taken at 24mm F8.

Does anyone use this in a professional setting? Any videographers on this thread?
