I got hold of a used RF24-105 and decided to give it a go.... HUGH difference to my faulty one that I returned.
Did a quick test wide open at 24mm and it seems good enough to keep.

@105mm f4 slightly cropped, seems good at 105 wide open ....I think I'm going to keep this lens. :-)
