Firmware: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM v2.0.0By Canon Rumors
March 19, 2019
Canon Firmware Canon has released new firmware for the RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM.
Firmware Version 2.0.0 incorporates the following enhancement:Supports continuous shooting in silent shooting mode with the EOS R running Firmwmare Version 1.1.0 or later.

Thanks for the heads up!:-)

EDIT: That's weird, I just downloaded the Canon "RF241054L-v200-win" zip file and found that I already had downloaded it on 14th Feb 2019, so not sure why Canon Rumours is reporting on it on 19th March, over 1 month later!

Oh well, better too many than too few.:-)

EDIT 2:
Here is a link to a post in the Canon EOS R Thread which led me to downloading the 24-105 FW update on 14th Feb.
https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=18810087

That explains the earlier download copy I already had on my PC.:-)

These are from a concert last night shot with the EOS R and RF 24-105L. The fog machine was working overtime!

Hah, more than likely - I was on my hands and knees to get a low level shot, very useful to have the flippy screen on the EOS R.:-)

On vacation in Hawaii and these guys (mongooses or mongeese?) entertained us for about 35min chasing each other around and through the hedge. Seemed to be a bit camera shy though, as soon as I picked it up they would run for cover.

I'm loving this lens on the R. The size is just right, focal range is great and performance is excellent.

I'm loving everything about the EOS R and RF lens. Can't wait for the 85RF to come out.
