Is it possible to use G2 as a nightshot IR?
Sort of like IR Nightscope.

It has trouble seeing IR in the daylight (where there is much more of it). Stick a Hoya R72 filter on it and take it out at night to see what happens. I'd set the ISO to 400, even though you may get a lot of noise.
