This crow was aggressively attacking this Red Shouldered Hawk which was carrying some kind of bird in its talons, neatly in a ball. I was about 150 yards away with my back turned when I heard the racket from the crow cawing & chasing the hawk.

I'm amazed at what the ef500mm IS can do with a 1.4x extender attached. I can't imagine how the v II could be sharper but I'm told that it is, which is quite a feat. Also, the 1.4x III is superb and I don't even notice any difference in auto focus speed, which really surprises me.
