I don't think it is, but not sure. It's at a camp ground on the Neuse river in Kinston, NC.

This is the VolkerschlachtDenkmal in Leipzig Germany.

In october 1813 the Leipzig region witnessed the largest oen battle in human history.Napoleon and his allies faced the Russian, Prussian, Austrian and Swedish armies of the sixth coalition.Napoleon lost the battle. Exactly one hundred years later the monument to the battle of the nations was inaugurated as the largest monument in Europe.

Really impressive. Nice capture especially that second shot. A nit pick on my part I know, but I'd get rid of those two people. I hate when I'm getting something nice like this and it seems like people just flood through the shot.

Thanks. As a tourist you are never alone. Sometimes a give people the chance to make a picture, but then they stay in front of the object and don't understand that i want to make a picture too.

Much like when I was trying to take photos of the Rhodes Memorial in Cape Town, South Africa. Two men seated themselves directly in front of the statue and seemed to be there for the day. Most irritating!

I was there in October 2016. A truly monumental building.

Nice pictures Jos. We all experience this problem quite often. I could make an amusing comment and say tell them to clear off - or words to that effect :-). But us photographers are far too polite for that.:-) Some people are very considerate and stand aside if they see you are trying to get a picture and I am sure some do it deliberately.
Best thing to take several shots from from same angle when people have moved a bit and make use of use of the coming tool. There are lots of methods you can use.

Yes, a peeve of mine. I'll take 50 images over 20 minutes and there always seems to be some people who haven't moved during that entire time! I use a median operation in photoshop to make people go away.

I'm mixed about it. They have every right to loiter, but they ruin everyone else's shots!
