That's a good question. I never really paid attention to the missing sword before.

Monument to Boudicca. She led her tribe to fight the Romans c AD60-61 - so it is said.
Located Northeast side of Westminster Bridge. London. UK.
Difficult to get a full view of the statue due to a postcard/souvenir stall which almost seems to have become part of it.

Thanks Richard. War is just so sad and a waste of life. I will see what the situation is and where the stone is located and be pleased to report back when I get a chance.

Edit:-
Richard - Is this the story you are looking for?

It was in the narrative of the link you gave me.
The fifth memorial was dedicated to the Australian Battle of Britain 'ace', Flight Lieutenant Paterson Clarence Hughes DFC of 234 Squadron on Saturday 23rd August 2008 alongside Main Road, Sundridge, near Sevenoaks in Kent. It was during the early evening of Saturday 7th September 1940 that Flt/Lt Hughes was tragically killed after his Spitfire X4009 apparently collided with a Dornier Do17 bomber over Sundridge

Ben, initially dedicated to those from Victoria who served in WW1 but then it was changed to all wars that all Australian men and women served. Here is another article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrine_of_Remembrance (external link)

The Battle of Nations Monument (Völkerschlachtdenkmal) is located southeast of the center of Leipzig (Germany). It commemorates the Battle of Leipzig in October 1813, in which Prussia and its allies defeated Napoleon. With a height of 91 meters, it is the largest building of its kind in Europe.
