Yes, I’ve seen that scene. Same waterhole. I’ve always had luck finding lions there and we did again this trip. Love shooting that curving waterhole. Buddy4344

Dec 22, 2018 14:08 | #37 A couple of the cats that were hanging out at Okondeka Waterhole. They were actually across the roadway near the only shade in the area. Dec 22, 2018 14:13 | #38 Another shot of the Okondeka cats and some muddy ellies we found on the western side of Etosha. I really like the western, less visited water holes as you often have them to yourself for hours. That said, both times I've visited that area was when I was headed to Damaraland and out of the park. Next trip, I'm going to make more of an effort to visit some of these water holes as we found some several lion sightings as well as rhino and the ellies. Also oryx. Dec 24, 2018 09:20 | #39 A wading springbok at Okaukuejo Waterhole and the dominant male hanging in shade at Okondeka. For the lion, I was shooting into some pretty severe setting sunlight,so had to do some playing to bring details into the shot without the blown highlights taking over the image. Hey, it isn't a zoo. Dec 25, 2018 16:46 | #40 This is a Hartmann's Mountain Zebra. The three main species of zebra are the Burchell's plains zebra, the Mountain Zebras of southern Africa and the Grevy's zebra of east Africa. The mountain zebras and Grevy's zebra are endangered. One call tell this species by the white belly and the dew lap on the neck. I got one shot of this animal from a moving vehicle and, as you can see in frame 2, he was gone.
