I love the fixed EVF on my M5 and wouldn't consider a camera without it, personally.

Same for me. I own both the M3 and M5 and didn’t really like the M3 much purely because no EVF. I find it hard to hold steady without it.

And if the weather is very sunny, you can't see anything on the screen to set up the shot

Nice review! Suspected as much from their prior demo video. The native lens line isn't very exciting and it some ways it almost kills the system in my view. The EF/M 32 does seem pretty nice especially what Dlee13 has posted of his. I primarily use the M6 with the EF/M 22, 40 and 50mm EF lenses for the table top shots. The 100L is equally nice but with crop factor that lens sits most the time.

The M6-2 will be a likely addition, just don't know when. Still very pleased with this one that adding another as others do the update may be nice.

Was doing a lighting work-up earlier and had the 40 and 100L out. If the 22 isn't on the 40mm is.

Chicago O'Hare (Lens is actually a 7Artisans 7.5 mm f/2.8 full frame fisheye, but it's not on the list so I used the Opteka for now).

Away from home in Wellington for a couple of days for work. Actually had a bit of time to walk around this afternoon. Couple of black and white conversions. I deliberately took quite a few photos of buildings with a view to black and white, but they haven't imported. Need to investigate that.

So - I hadn't used the M5 in a whie, and it was noticeable that about 1/3 of the photos didn't transfer to the latop, said there was a problem with the file or something.

Went and bought a new SD card, and got same error message, but this time, all the photos transferred, although there was only a few.

So I wondered if it was the card reader, and tried the built in slot. Same error message.

Anyone, any ideas? Oh, I formatted the card before I used it.

Thanks

Wellington has a bad reputation for weather, mainly wind :-) However it is one of the most beautiful places you can imagine on a good day :-)

Over the years the waterfront has been developed as a living space, and it's busy with walkers, runners, cyclists, and now unfortunately e-scooters. A keen amateur photographer just wandering, now faces significant risk, as these things are silent!

Joining the M gang soon. Just pre-ordered the M6’s mk2 to go alongside my 5d4. Selling off my Fuji bodies and lenses.

I ended up pre-ordering it as well even though I was against it. I think if it had the same 24mp sensor there would be no way I would have.

Expect to only get around $300 for it body-only hence why I will be converting mine to IR this spring.
