Despite this possibly being a dead mount I decided to get the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 so if I travel and don’t want to bring the R6, I can carry that, the EF-M 32mm and Sigma 56mm :D

Here in Asia where I live, The M50/M50 II is the best selling camera. Even if the mount does die, it doesn't mean your camera won't give you many years of good service. The bodies are good and the lenses are good. I won't be looking for something new until they physically die, so it is not a worry for me. And, there are a lot of 3rd party M mount offerings now.

We've had a lot of rain here in Sydney so shooting outdoors hasn't been possible. Because of this, here's my first image with the Sigma 16mm

Hee-hee-fun!

If Canon did release an APS-C sized weather sealed body that would be nice. That was one part about weather sealing with the 5D-III/IV. Taking those out in a light rain enable some pretty nice shots.

Caught this with the M3 on my first big trip with it during an intermittent downpour. Other than fumbling holding the umbrella, this was a fun shot. (The 24-70 lens diaphragm seized so the 5D-III was down the whole trip. No back-up lens brought.)

I am using EOS M50 w/ EF-S 55-250mm.
What I have noticed is that there is a severe hunting especially when trying to capture BIF or a very small object that fits the center of the sport metering circle. This is mainly happening in SERVO mode as that is my common setting as used for BIF.
Is this the limitation I have to work with this combo?
I do have latest (1.0.3) FW on the lens. The M50 is behind though.

Any ideas or workarounds?
Thank you for your help.

Its more then likely the 55-250 not being able to focus fast enough for BIF. Even my 7D with point focus and a 400mm has trouble tracking them. Its not an easy task

Thanks.
I worked around it a bit. And indeed the ef-s af speed is also the issue.
Instead of single point, I started using face tracking mode and that helped it.
