Despite this possibly being a dead mount I decided to get the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 so if I travel and don’t want to bring the R6, I can carry that, the EF-M 32mm and Sigma 56mm

Here in Asia where I live, The M50/M50 II is the best selling camera. Even if the mount does die, it doesn't mean your camera won't give you many years of good service. The bodies are good and the lenses are good. I won't be looking for something new until they physically die, so it is not a worry for me. And, there are a lot of 3rd party M mount offerings now.
