Yeah, never thought of using a 400mm lens for macro images, but it seems to work pretty well with this lens. I must say, this little gem exceeds expectations in that regard.

What lens mount is that lens of yours?

The lens is the Tamron 18-400mm F3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD in Canon EF-S mount. I attach it to my M6 Mark ii with the Canon EF to EF-M adapter. It’s a nice little package compared to my Canon 5DS-R + EF 28-300mm L f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens combination. The full frame equivalent focal length of the Tamron is 28-640mm on the M6 Mark ii.

Cool. Maybe it would be a good match for the R7 too If I can ever get one!!!

Some photos at a central city park in Auckland, NZ

At the centre, where most paths lead, is the band rotunda - built about 130 years ago and still in operation. These days, it is doubtful that any municipality would lavish the funds required to be invested to get a structure of this sort, let alone with the level of detail this one has.

A detail from the roof - I kept this in greyscale to avoid colour distractions

Well after debating getting a 6D or dump more money into this "potentially" dead or dying mount, Adorama got me with a $50 instant coupon and I bought the Sigma 56mm F1.4. I think Im really going to enjoy it.

I hope more transition into newer gear...I'm hoping to get the 11-22 and I'd still like the M6-II.

Some recents:
