I'd put it up against the A6300 and A6500 any day of the week. Especially if you use the adapter with Canon's nicer lenses (although I'm perfectly happy with the EF-M 18-150 and 11-22): IMAGE LINK: https://www.stevemokanphotography.com …n-Moab-Oct-18/i-gHmkH2V/A

Nov 30, 2018 18:54 | #5 TeamSpeed wrote in post #18755999 Features I Enjoy: - Many features of the EOS R (where do you think the EOS R received its litany of features?) - Focus peaking in the viewfinder for great manual focusing, if that doesn't cut it, then go to 5x zoom - Ability to use manual focus Rokinon glass with great IQ - Ability to use EF and EFS glass - Many more AF points than on the SL2, my only real gripe with the SL2 - Eye AF - 4K albeit with no DPAF - Silent shutter (albeit hidden in one of the dial modes) - Rear touch screen to move the AF point around like a touch joystick - Telescoping touch screen - Great resolution viewfinder - Ability to see exposure instantly in viewfinder, also can see histogram and level - Small but great grip, easy to hold and shoot with - Other adapters exist to shoot with other lenses, even Nikon - Flash shoe for ETTL shooting and remote triggering - Wifi button to instantly turn on so phone can attach - Can autofocus lens/TC combinations that go up to f11 - EFM kit lenses about 1/2 the size of EFS kit lenses Dislikes - Battery life not great - Menu button is next to play button, not a delete. Delete is on the directional pad instead, which means you cannot delete an image when zoomed in, you have to hit play again then delete. I have hit the menu button countless times trying to delete an image. - Buttons are very tiny and recessed. I don't mind small buttons if they stick out a bit, but they are also recessed making it hard to hit - Really needs a 2nd dial on the left side for something useful - Limited EFM glass choices - IS always active on non EFM lenses, unless you switch the IS off - Slow wakeup - High ISO seems to be less quality than the SL2 For those that want to dabble with Canon mirrorless but don't want to spend the extra $1900 to get the full frame EOS R, what better way than to pick up this great travel sized mirrorless APS-C and see what all the talk is about for very little cash outlay when compared to the EOS-R? I actually bought a 50 1.2 lens first (Rokinon) and then waited for the EFM camera deal to buy the body that would allow the lens to mount. Great lens, worth buying the body just for the lens, IMO. The M50 and the Rokinon 50 1.2 make for a very small portable portrait setup, several hundred less than just the 50 EF 1.2. same here, I bought the Viltrox speedbooster so I can use my full frame glasses and have 1.1 factor (almost full frame image). Still waiting on the camera deal on ebay. Kelvin

Dec 10, 2018 23:46 | #6 They were out of stock for the camera, and by the time they got more of them in, the deal on the adapter had disappeared. However, as of today (12/10) they had the camera back in stock and also had brought back the special deal on the adapter to go with it. Sooo tempting. Must. Resist. Marci

The 3rd party adapter works well too as a different option. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery
