Evening all,

I'm looking for some software for my Mac (preferably free but would pay for the right program).

I want to be able to add some borders as per this image of mine. I used to do this years ago with Photoshop (I think), but it was a real balls ache doing it. I've also tried in Lightroom and Affinity and they are both just as difficult to get a satisfactory result.

So i'm wondering if there is a program out there that is made specifically for this process

Thanks very much in advance for your help

That looks spot on thanks Kirk.

Do you know if you can add text to the bottom of the frame as per my image?

Like most edits, do it on a separate layer, not on the layer with the frame. You can easily do that in PS or Studio or other app that supports layers.

In Ps or other app you can create a transparent PNG file of your signature/log that can be imported into many different programs and used as a layer.

The Digital Frame is a module inside of Topaz Studio, which is Topaz Labs' free image editing application. Topaz Studio has a basic set of image editing tools included in the free Topaz Studio app, with per-module purchases of "Pro" editing tools available (you do not need to purchase them if you do not want to use them). One of the basic free tools is a text tool, which you can use to generate and place your text on your frame/mat. Another free tool is an image placing tool - that is, you can import an image (like a PNG watermark) and place it on the image you are framing and editing. You can place text and images anywhere on the the image you are editing, not just on the frame or mat.

You can download Topaz Studio for free and you can start using the Digital Frame module for a 30-day trial from within the Studio interface. Studio runs as a stand-alone or a Photoshop plug-in.

Give the trial a shot and see if it works for you.
