Why isn't there a Video / Short Film talk section?

There is a "talk" section for every other type of photography in the sharing section, why not video?

You are quite right - every other sharing section has a corresponding discussion section.

I am interested in learning about the rationale behind this omission.

The participation to the basic “video and audio “ section on this site is pathetic. Wish it weren't so, but...
If no one here is interested in contributing to that forum, I guess I'm not surprised that there isn't a second one devoted to video talk.
Guess we need to look elsewhere.
