I'm thinking I might need to get a RAID controller card. One drive might be getting flakey. What kind of drives are these? If they're any kind of "green" drive, their aggressive power management have been known to cause problems in RAID setups.

You are perhaps implying that you've used some kind of operating system technology to create software RAID - which technology? Which disk format? How do you know they're going out of sync?
