Hi.. I know this isnt the best picture in the world or anything like that but can anyone tell me why this picture looks so "Digital" the grass looks pixelated and the tree dose too.. I had a print made of this and as soon as I looked at it I could tell that it was taken from a digital camera.. 8.2 megapixels shouldnt look this way right? You have to add in the fact that I dont know what im doing either and since the file is compressed the wrong way you wont be able to give me advice either. Hmm.. I guess my qustion really is, Is it possible to have great prints without being able to tell its digital?? Anyhelp would be awesome!

Hard to know without knowing the print size, dimensions of the file sent for printing, print service, and workflow.

Is that what it looked like right out of the camera? If so, you should check to see if your camera is on either RAW or the highest JPG setting you can get. If this is NOT right out of the camera, it looks as if you saved the image as a very compressed JPG. The highest setting is 12, but this looks like it might have been saved as 1 or 2.

Absolutely. I've had a few 8x10's made that were crystal clear. Up until owning my 350D, I've never been satisfied with the print quality of digital pictures. My last camera was a 3mp P&S and 4x6 never looked that "real" to me. However, these pictures I've printed up so far look like they're from a film camera.

I sent this picture off at walmart. (Mistake one)? I took this picture on the largest Jpeg setting. The picture uploaded looks retarded bad compared to the original. Even on the origianl though you can see pixels on small things like grass and stuff.
