Actually I think the big problem is that if you follow my logic along it could be a statement that you have to be drunk to buy a PC. I obviously didn't mean that and I resent any implication of such by the Macvangelists. Not that they said it first, I just know they were thinking it though.

i like the cuddly computer ;) girls like to touch it... a lot more then a boring windows based laptop...

Are they not releasing the latest Windows OS soon? Did I read that it is to replace XP after five years and was due to ship mid-year. The same one that is now not going to ship until after the new year now.

Any pc you buy now, will be using an os that is past the end of it's lifespan.

Seems a really good time to hold fire if you can and maybe research building your own (then you can sneer at the Dell users).

at home... P4 3.0ghz, 1GB RAM ... speedy, but nothing super.

at work.... G5 Dual 2.5ghz, 2GB RAM, dual apple displays... i love working on it.
