Harris Antelope Ground Squirrel

This little guy resides behind my house. We back up to open desert and I see him and I'm assuming his mate playing and hunting for food a few times a week. Today they were chasing each other and he ended up hanging out at the top of a dead cholla cactus.

I used the D850 + 300mm PF + 1.7xTC for the shots. I took a gamble as I haven't dialed in the lens/TC combo. I would say, for the most part, it's hitting as it should. I'll still take some time this weekend to use the lens align to make sure it's zeroed in.

Very nice series Hatch. I would say you are dialed in pretty good. The squirrels shoot provide many shooting opportunities for some time to come.:-)
