aezoss, nice pictures. I live in the same part of the country as these images (slightly east of them), so I am wondering what part of the Kananaskis they are from. Thanks.

WesternGuy

Thanks. These were taken along hwy 742 (Smith Dorrien Trail) near the Spray Lakes reservoir.

We started at the Canmore Nordic Center, followed 742 to 40 to 1, returning to Canmore.

If you haven't been out there, it's gravel with a lot of ruts. Nice drive though.

Does it not shoot in something like a 16:9 ratio and only 3:2 / 4:3 ?

With 16:9 being the norm now for most viewing: monitors/smart phones, etc, why are we stuck in 1991 with the 3:2 ratio?

The shots ARE AMAZING, just lost on the aspect ratio, as once you go 16:9 or wider, everything else becomes frustrating to look at.

Hey man, thanks. I am afraid I might be a week or so late. Then again, I will be checking out different elevations, so I might find something at lower elevations.

Took the RF 24-240 out the the lake yesterday had about 10 minutes of good diffused light. I am happier with the sharpness of the lens than with my inability to get DoF right on the first try. The sun broke through, which ended the session.

NOTE: I set the EXIF to RF 24-105 in order for the focal lengths to show up and be able to add it to my gallery. Adding it to the gear database has been requested.
