We have had quite heavy snow that catches tourists unaware.
A group of internationals got stranded and need rescue from up there only yesterday.
A day of warm weather and people wonder what the fuss is all about.
Few take our weather seriously and unfortunately some at the peril - don't survive.

Whilst those bushfires posted of previously here have raged and devastated, other parts have been snowed under on the Mainland

... and yet other parts will be flooded in a couple of months, possibly some of the same parts that are now burning. What a land we live in!


Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

I rarely shoot in full sun but gave it a shot with long exposure to get the backlit fall colors without blowing the highlights in the water. I really like the minimal result. Used both Big and Little stopper for a 121 second exposure.
