Nope, no more Texas. Father Time has spoken. And yes, missing it! But doing okay.
Assume you and Captain Bob will be hooking up. Hope you have a great trip.

Awww too bad but glad you're doing OK. And yup, hoping to meet up with Capt. Bob while I'm here! He is quite the local professional photog down here now!

Take care Rog, nice to hear from you.

Yes thanks I did see that. I hope they’re able to nurse him back to health.

Sounds like there's hope for him. Here's hoping the frostbite heals and they can eventually release hin.

Avian Haven, the rescue center where the bird was taken, has a Facebook page. Their update said the bird was alert and standing this morning, but they're taking it a day at a time.

Thanks. From the report that I read, it was pretty much done in by the extreme weather, including some extreme cold and snow and freezing rain. It must have been asking itself why it ever came here. I’m hoping they can bring it around enough to release, perhaps after the weather turns toward Spring. When I saw it about three weeks ago it was bright, vibrant and appeared very very healthy. Hopefully it can be again.

Very sad news, they decided to euthanize the poor guy due to the extensive injuries by frostbite to his feet.
