I have Lightroom, PS, DXO's FilmPack, PhotoMirage, Aurora (HDR), and Portrait Professional.

I especially like FilmPack, even though I don't use it too often. The effects are nice.

What other software should I consider getting?

If you're into film emulation and a more organic feel then give the Alien Skin Exposure X4 trial a go.

I'm looking for ideas I don't know about, so: nothing specific.
But, I know I'm interested in effects of some kind.

Happen to know how it compares to FilmPack?

Based on this post and other posts you've made in other threads, it seems like you haven't yet developed a personal style as a portrait artist, and are searching and searching 'everything out there' in a quest to find one.

I respectfully suggest that looking at what other photographers have done won't help you find a style of your own unless you're shooting a ton and then just looking at others' work occasionally for a bit of extra insight.

Successful artists have something to say and they just have to say it. They are deeply driven to express what's inside and they use their imagery to express it.

Hence, looking to others for inspiration and ideas probably won't be very helpful because what you express with your imagery is, ideally, supposed to come from deep inside yourself.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Commercially, not really. Although I'm interested to see new styles for fixing crappy pictures, for the most part - I'm quite content with my style.

But for 'fun,' and mostly things I won't ever post to my business pages - I'm looking for new things to try.
Example: I just came across Topaz AI Remix. It's pretty cool, but I doubt I can ever justify posting an image from it to my business pages.

Unfortunately no - I've never tried FilmPack. I did however try AS Exposure X3 extensively a while back as a possible LR alternative; I liked it a lot and was impressed by the film emulation effects (X4 has added further effects since then, including light effects). Ultimately I rejected X3 due to it not having CA correction and a few other unexpected omissions, but if it's only going to be a part of your workflow then it might add something useful.

For something free (donations welcome) and different you might have fun with FotoSketcher.
