Good Day! Could you, please inform, whether this is a good idea to use Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM for allround usage? I mean to use it on a regular basis. Is it a good idea?

Yes. I use it as a standard walk-around lens on either an 80D or a 7D2. Very small and light, very good images even wide open and especially good by f/5.6.

I purchased one a few months ago and use it often as a general purpose lens, mostly on a T3i for family shots and general walk around.

My EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM is pretty much glued to an old 550D body as a walk-around for landscapes and cityscapes.

It all depends on what you're photographing, but I find on a crop sensor 50mm is too long and even the 40mm (which is also a fantastic little lens) can leave me needing just a little more in frame.

I can fit the whole bundle into a large coat pocket - has to be one of the most compact DSLR set-ups possible.

And the EF-S 24mm gets even better when I fit it to my 7dii.

EOS 7D MkII
EF 35mm f/2.0 IS USM
EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS L II USM
EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM
EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
