Hey all,

I was shooting a wedding last night with a second shooter who just bought the Flashpoint R2 Pro Mark II trigger for her A7R2, and I noticed that any time she shot in TTL mode, the V860II-Ns and Xplor 600 PRO speedlights/strobes (that we used throughout the day) would repeatedly flash before firing her shot.

This effectively stopped me from being able to use those flashes if we clicked our shutter buttons within a couple seconds of each other. You can see how this would be an issue at the wedding reception! Lol.

Anybody have any ideas? Anybody encountered this issue?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

If you shoot in TTL mode with the A7rII there will be preflashes that you will see before the final shot. Did you try to place the strobes in manual mode?

You may also want to turn off EFC in the camera menu and ensure that you do not have the red eye reduction enabled.

Happy Shooting:lol:

I was also under the impression from my experiences that the TTL preflash is invisible to the human eye because it fires so fast. But you (and a FB group) were right! It was the red eye reduction causing the issue!:-P
