Tim, you are about 2 pieces of gear ahead of me. I'm in trouble if I get one more thing. I don't think I have room for 1 more lens of any size. AHHHHH! Something's going to have to go when I get my new lens in a few months. :)

I have my eye on the Sigma 30mm F1.4... and another grip... I really don't think i'll be able to get it all in. That's not a huge deal though, because in addition to my main camera bag I also take a LowePro day pack with misc things in it (flash bracket, food, drink, etc), a tripod/monopod bag, a big bag with my 13' light stands, and two AB800s. I pretty much fill up my boot.

Strangely though, the more gear I have, the more I think I could shoot a wedding with a single 20D, 580EX, and a fast 30mm or so prime.

Think basic, use basic, shoot great. It isn't what you have but how you use it. Funny my wife tend to tell me that all the time.LOL

I agree.

My plan is to keep it very simple. I will be shooting available light on a 20D (70-200 f2.8 IS) and a 5D (24-70 f2.8 ) with a 10-22 and 50 f1.4 in the bag. I will carry a 580EX, but only as a last resort - like a total solar eclipse.

I appreciate what can be done with flash photography, but my desire is to document people's special day as it looked through the naked eye - not a staged production. I market myself as much, so my clients will know what they are getting.

I reckon I can squeeze everything I need in the Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home, which my assistant will carry around for me.

Two words - fill flash. Without fill you'll get ugly shadows under the eyes outdoors, people will look like pandas.

I've not encountered any problems thus far, but as I said - it'll be in the bag so I can assess any situation as it arises.

you have two bodies so your bag must be packed to have the lens attached to each body, you should change bodies with lens for different shots not change lens on bodies if you can avoid it. get a waist bag that will hold a body and the wide angle lens attached and the longer lens carry it around your neck. without an assistant you need both bodies at arms lenght

I love my http://www.tamrac.com/5549.htm (external link)

I use it for everything. Business and pleasure.

Laptop, two, three bodies, lenses, batteries, accessories. It fits it all, and it's comfortable to carry.

I use a large Lowepro Stealth Reporter shoulder bag stowed away in the trunk of my car as a home base. I wear a ThinkTank ChangeUp bag/belt system on me.
